Playing dupes !

I am ashamed of it but I must admit I am a little bit of a snob...I don't like that much drugstore products particularly matte e/s. But, I heard such good things about the Wet and Wild Color Icon Palettes that I had to face Wall Mart (yuck !) to go and see for myself. No swatches possible there, so I grabbed the neutral one : Vanity and the purple one : Lust. I paid 8 $ CAD for those 2 ugly big palettes ( told you I was a snob !)

Then, I swatched those little pans and decided that the beauty can all be in the inside...

Now the exciting discoveries of a lifetime : I don' t have that many MAC e/s but the pale pink is a perfect dupe for Yogurt (MAC) while the creamy white could easily replace Vanilla (MAC). I have many silvers, plums and purples but none of them are Mac so no other comparisons for the purple palette but my little finger tells me that the shimmery burgundy color could be Sketch's twisted twin (Grey's anatomy quote, girls !).

In the neutral palette , the matte pale brown is the little brother of Wedge (MAC). the shimmery off-white is Dazzlelight's (MAC) little sister and the shimmery brown is a warmer version of Twinks (MAC)

The snob in me let the nerd express herself : GOOD VALUE, YOU SNOB ! FOR 8 $ , you can't even grab 1 single pan at MAC and you have 12 e/s in here ! Shame on me ....

Swatches on my shivering skin : goose bumps pictures nicely , don't you think ? Look at those matte colors : one swipe. Pay off is awesome !

I am alive but did I kill my blog ?

catchy title , heh ? I' ve been away from the blogging world 2 months ....2 MONTHS , people...so I guess we could say that my blog RIP ! But like a phoenix, I'll try to revive it ...We will see how my Harry Potter talents will work ;-)

SEPTEMBER : I am the lucky mother of 2 wonderful kids so I had to face the tornado of "back to school"in September. Hence my lack of posting this same month. Little rant here : why Oh why do we receive a list of items to buy in summer for school but on day 1, appears another list of "absolutely necessary" items that are impossible to find and kiddo needs them ASAP ?...Try and find the Staedler lumicolor pencil ref. 3a4r in fine writing , black, permanent in a Staple was like an Indiana Jones quest for me....No need to say, I had no time left for blogging....

AUGUST : lot of family drama....no really interesting but taking so much energy from me that pictures of me pouting was not really worth publishing !

OCTOBER : Here I come! a new me with 26 lbs left on the side of the road (on a vicious cycle at the gym to be true !). I am really proud of me so I'll probably brag about it, publishing outfits of the day, be ready !

PS : Can't remember at all what I use for the EOTD : probably Carbon (MAC) on the lid over a black base (L'Oreal HIP liner), Twinks (MAC) in the crease, Wedge (MAC) to blend into highlight Helium (Annabelle)

JOTD : again an artist from Montreal Stella. I have a fantastic necklace that goes with the earings but the pic was yellow and crappy so I tossed it !

Dark colors and nude lips

I am such a lazy blogger ... I've been taking pics lately but would not bother publishing them so you're gonna find some looks that I did last week...
This one , quite dark : TFSI as a base, Gosh wateproof e/s in Love that moss under humid from MAC. Crease color : my beloved twinks and a random beige color to blend with the highlight color : dazzelight from MAC
Skin : a mix of Revlon colorstay in beige sand and Gosh Extreme wear in golden, blush (a pink sample from Coastal scents), highlight on cheeks, nose, chin : Vanilla pigment from MAC.
Very forest-like-look !
