a bad hair day ....(take II)

Haha I'll guess this is gonna be a recurrent post : my hair looks crappy so how do I cope with it ?

First step: you cry and damn your hair for the 7 upcoming generations at 7 am in the morning

2nd : you struggle with them 15 min then decide it's not worth it

3rd : you pick your favorite scarf from Zara, lay it flat and pull it on top of your head

4th : when you reach your under hair area (aka neck) you twist the scarf to make it thin

5th : you have the 2 thin parts meeting on the side of your head and you do a very rough knot

When you grew older, you get wiser so you save step 1 and 2. And your hair is done in 30 sec : more time for make up : et voilà !

Annabelle painted love reinterpretation

Annabelle launched a limited edition collection for spring with 4 new shades. I bought 3 of them and decided to see how they could work together...I loved the look a lot and ended up adding 3 more colors : Rainbow Caroline !

Eyes :
TFSI as a primer
Gosh love that Dolphin color base : it's a baby blue color in the inner corner
NYX Jumbo eyepencil in Yellow: rest of the lid for a cream color base
e/s (take a deep breath !) :
Nymphet e/s (Annabelle) in the inner corner over Gosh base
Chick e/s (NYX) rest of the lid over NYX yellow
Toxic garden (Annabelle) to blen Nymphet(turquoise) and Chick (yellow) into a green color (Toxic). Can you see I was a good girl in kinder garden ??? I KNOW my colors ...
Deep purple e/s (NYX) from crease and up to browbone
Helium as an highlight color
Wedge e/s (MAC) as a blending color to fade the purple color into the highlight
and TADA last one : Graffiti (Annabelle) to give some depth to outer V and crease
Mascara : Voluminous from L'OREAL

writer stops to rant : What the ....BIP....with this Voluminous thing ! I hate it ! Clumps, flakes....so it sent it to the hell of bad mascaras directly into my garbage bag ! END of the RANT...

Easter eyes : pastel blue and green !

DUGH ! I can't remember what I used !Probably Painterly Paint Pot as a base, then blue shimmery e/s from Ardene and the bright green one is probably an Ardene one too (they don't have names poor babies, just numbers but I depotted them so no clue about that !). I always blend with Wedge (MAC) and the highlight is probably Shroom.

Speaking of Which (shroom), I think I found a dupe in the new Annabelle cosmetics launch : Helium. I am so thrilled because I love Shroom as an highlight but the cheaper version is enchanting me !

Look what the mailman brought me !

Don't you love the mailman ? Haha, I received my package from the Annabelle cosmetics contest I won ...Can I say I am a happy bunny ? Yes I can !

I am so happy that Catherine picked those items cause I probably wouldn't have chosen those. This is probably not really articulate so I am gonna explain : I would have bought e/s and gloss and I have tons of them! So now I can discover new products and it' s exciting !

I received :
3 brushes : A14 (angled brush), A8 (patting and blending brush), A13 (powder brush)
Mineral make up : Powder foundation in natural Ivory (how come they now I am Casper's little sister ?), blush in sugar rush (you've got to love the name !) and Bronzer in Terra
a gloss named Le Gloss (how appropriate) in Breathless: beauty ,beauty but shush because ....

I'll do a review on those once I have tried them a month or so (before I think is not really honest because you haven't REALLY tried the products , no ?). BUT I can tell you some of those have my love even only after using them a week....This keeps you breathless , ugh ? all this suspense !

Fierce liner !

This look was a mix of 2 looks : one done by Miss Chievous (blue lagoon look) and one by Enkore (retro look)
I used an elf Palette (the one offered when you purchase Sigma brushes) : there are 4 colors from matte white to black with glitter.
As usual, I used TFSI as a base, NYX Jumbo pencil in milk, the white shadow as a lid color, the darker silver color as a line up my crease to create the retro effect, blending with the paler silver into the lid and highlight color. The sparkly black was used on lower lash line and to create an outer V on the lid.
Sorry for the quality of the 2nd picture : was obviously taken inside at night but it was freezing outside and the few pictures I took were blurry ....Plus my neighboors now think I am crazy , taking pictures of my eyes in my driveway :-0

Lakers' make up : tribute to my brother

my brother as a teenager was a big fan of basketball. I remembered him wearing this big T-shirt golden yellow and purple so proudly ;-)
So here is a soft version of his T-shirt using Champagne NYX e/s over yellow NYX jumbo pencil as a base, NYX purple e/s in the crease and a little bit of a HIP purple from L'Oreal duos (Reckless) to darken the outer V and deepen the crease. The perfect shroom (MAC) as an highlight and Marcelle volume precision as mascara (My Holy grail !). I lined my waterline with a black pencil but added some of the same purple from the HIP duo to soften it (plus it settles the product )

Neutrals anyone ?

This palette was a gift from my sweet mummy for my birthday and I used it last week as a vicious virus hit me ....viciously! Heavy make up is sometimes worst when you have to hide a red nose, dark circles and so-so skin...So I stick to the basics and used only Painterly Paint Pot from MAC as a base...Soft and simple

Pin up look : red lips, not for me !

Sometimes, make up is about failure too ...the pin up look is a classical one, so pretty ! but (big sigh !), red is not a color for my anorexic lips ! You can worry about my anorexic lips, poor little things lost in a totally non anorexic body ;-)
So I wipe off the red, back to my beloved glosses (how many glosses are too many ?) and head back to the kitchen where I am gonna perform the best apple crumble ever ...Not just my incredible talent as a cook but just follow the instructions from this goldmine of a site and hello heaven :

What a peacock earing lead you to...

I bought some earings imitating Peacock feathers. After removing some part of the jewellery (Yes, I sometimes (all the time ?) kind of modify the stuff I buy...), I decided to match make up and accessory ...A big no-no for make up artists but...I don't care ;-)
So the products used would be : TFSI as a base, a GOSH waterproof stick eyeshadow in love that dolphin, eyeshadows : barely there (from NYX: yellowish golden color in tear duct), a faces cosmetics eyeshadow (number unknown as usual but fantastic tealish bluish greenish color), deep purple (NYX) in outer V and crease, navy (from Annabelle as eyeliner over black cream liner from L'Oreal HIP)....The liner is a mess but the photo was taken after hours of wearing this rainbow look !
I felt like showing off all day! Make up can make you feel so confident, it's amazing ....

Purple rain

Always flattering, purple is an eyeshadow color that never let you down...
Products used : TFSI, NYX jumbo pencil in Lavender, a faces cosmetics eyeshadow in lavender with a number I can't remember, some deep purple in the crease (NYX again) and the help of Print (MAC) to give some depth to the outer V, Dazzlelight (MAC) as an highlight.
Porcelein skin and sheer gloss and VOILÀ !

Kardashianish look for a soccer mum !

Sometimes being a mom kinda take the glamour away ;-) So pick up your silver eyeshadow (I used a random NYX one), a brownish one (Twinks from MAC) and an highlight color (shroom again from MAC) and let the Mario Dedivanovic in you pop out of the box !
OK, OK, Mario has kind of an unfair advantage working on such a beautiful girl but go, soccer mums, go ....We can be stars too haHA ...
