Re-inventing the wheel and other marvelssssss

The nice people from ....AHAHAHA don't you love it when a post starts this way ??? It makes me cringe ! Anyway...The nice people from Annabelle cosmetics (I had to do it guys, I feel goofy tonight !) sent me a bronzer a few weeks ago. I was still very pasty white and it was way too dark for me. I was soooo disappointed as if you read my blog you know how much I love their products...So I decided to wait a little bit longer for my skin to turn creamish instead of white and ...it was still too dark for me .....So I decided to use an old Revlon bronzer palette (I hit the pan on this one ) : I mixed my Annabelle bronzer with the crumbled Revlon leftovers, added a good amount of my Annabelle powder foundation (pale beige) and 70% Alcohol. I put everything in the little compact , let it dry one night, pressed it firmly and TADAAAAAAAA, a custom color : sort of a cappuccino one that fits my skin tone.

Swatches on my arm :
1-original Terra : Annabelle bronzer
2-mineral foundation : Annabelle
3- my shade !

EOTD :
Expensive pink (MAC) : lid
Wedge (MAC) : crease
Helium (Annabelle) : highlight
Black liquid eyeliner (Ardene)
L'Oreal telescopic mascara

no FOTD, I looked like a panicking rabbit caught in the lights of a car ( very funny though but I'll keep those hidden to save my perfect image of sex appeal !)

Helicopter inspired make up : Pink and yellow !

The weather is absolutely fantastic here....Sunny, warm, breezy ! So with this little wind , some "helicopters" are falling from the big tree in my front garden. They are shimmery pink and yellow and I decided to copy them ! Helicopter's eyes ... No war related though, all peace and love !

Then I decided to spice up this look as it was a little too soft for my liking. I added a fierce liner with dots underneath...

I did my nails too with a new varnish I bought a few days ago. For my Canadian followers, it's sold in Maxi and Loblaws. The make is JOE Fresh. This color is a pretty pastel yellow. The application was a nightmare : you have to hold the big round cap and the brush is too short and fluffy.... But the color is really nice. I Konaded it in the evening with dots and a pink Konad special polish (the one with the Coraline KIT) : well that's a neon pink and I 'm not a big fan...My nails are so short , it's almost painful, they break and split like crazy...I started Vit B complex and Omega 3 : I'll keep you posted on the efficacy.

Have a wonderful sunday !

Old look : minimalist eye !

SO this look is not new , I digged it from the archives. I haven't published this one before because it's a little bit boring. But, I must admit I am not fair to this look because it's so easy to do : it's the one I sport on my lazy days....

Now, to the products :

Painterly Paint Pot as a base
Champagne e/s (NYX) as a lid color. Fantastic discrete golden color !
Wedge (Mac) in the crease
Shroom (MAC) that I will stop using as I hit pan ...but YEAH I found a cheaper dupe : Helium from Annabelle cosmetics (new spring collection)
Eye liner : I dip an art craft pencil into Ardene liquid liner
on the lower water line : Jumbo eye pencil in Milk (NYX). I found this is a little harsh so since this look, I bought Gosh going bananas (more a flesh golden tone) and it's definitely more flattering !

The peeling of my eyelid is still in progress, bouhou I feel like a snake making a new skin

Easter eyes : pastel blue and green !

DUGH ! I can't remember what I used !Probably Painterly Paint Pot as a base, then blue shimmery e/s from Ardene and the bright green one is probably an Ardene one too (they don't have names poor babies, just numbers but I depotted them so no clue about that !). I always blend with Wedge (MAC) and the highlight is probably Shroom.

Speaking of Which (shroom), I think I found a dupe in the new Annabelle cosmetics launch : Helium. I am so thrilled because I love Shroom as an highlight but the cheaper version is enchanting me !

Have a nice saturday

Burnt Orange jam : Panacea inspired look

I loved this tutorial to death ... I think it was fall trend orange cream something....I changed the look a little bit to make it more office appropriate and I am so gonna redo this look (with copper earings and orangey blush it was gorgeous !!!!)

Eyes :
Painterly Paint pot from MAc as a base (sadly TFSI is not working anymore (too old), I had it for more than a year and I had to toss it away although it was still half full ...or empty depending on your mood ;-)))
Dazzle light e/s (MAC) all over the lid
Chick e/s (NYX) all along the crease and up till 1 cm to the eyebrow
Africa e/S (NYX) in the crease, blended over Chick but stopped approximately in the middle of the crease (nothing from inner corner till mid lid)
Rust e/s (NYX) outer V and in the crease but just the outer corner
This look require a lot of blending , repacking the color so if you are in a rush forget about it !!!
Liner : Ardene liner in black not as a winged liner just to give the impression the lash line is more precise and a little flip at the end following your lashes' curve to give the impression the last one is longer (Not sure it makes any sense but I tried hahahah)
lower lash line : NYX jumbo pencil in milk topped with Dazzlelight for a better staying power
Mascara : Rimmel Sexy curves . I like this little guy but Gosh do I miss my Marcelle Volume precision mascara .... I made the vow to finish up my mascara stash before buying the Marcelle one as I know that if I rebuy the Marcelle one , the other are gonna stay untouched and they'll die of it .....

Have a nice Sunday !

Recreation of Jen's Pink and Black eye and nails : tea under a disco ball

Here is the link to Jen' blog and her beautiful look :
http://l1lmamaj.blogspot.com/2010/02/fotd-pink-eyebrows-lady-gaga-face-chart.html

But to the point :

Eyes :
Painterly Paint Pot (MAC) as a base
e/s :
Yogurt (Mac) inner part of the lid then Pink Candy (Ardene) all over the lid
outer V : Carbon (MAC) blended , blended and blended again into Shroom (MAC) as an highlight
Liner : feline khol pencil (MAC) only in lower lash line. I didn't line the upper lash line to make it softer
Mascara : Rimmel sexy curves in extreme black

Brows :
Browzing from Benefit in dark

I must share my love from Ardene e/s : they are creamy, pigmentated like crazy, they stay in place for ever. I can't believe they are so cheap and such good quality. If you are a canadian make up addict, go and grab those ! I bought Pink Candy and Tangorine lately and I will do a look with the beautiful Tangorine as soon as I can . It's a gorgeous orange color (probably a good dupe for Off the page from MAC)

Nails :
Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in grape idea : very soft tea rose color toped with ....
Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Strobe light (holographic glitter)

Hope you like it !
