Annabelle and her purple eye....

I had the chance, one day to be cited as the "author" of a sweet blog. The nice girl giving me a shout out said she liked to imagine my first name was Annabelle because I was using the brand so often in my FOTD that it defined me...So today, again, please don't call me Caroline, I am just Annabelle ;-)

Look at that and clean up the drool from your chins, ladies ! one swipe, no primer : the 3 colors on my fingers are rainforest, utraviolet and tutu. I didn't swatch Fantasy : the peacocky turquoise color because I didn't use it in my EOTD but My brushes are itching to try it ....

Next , full face with flash : products used for the face are:
NARS sheer glow in Deauville. Still on the fence with this one, the coverage and lasting power are perfection but it might be a little too yellow on me...
Maybelline Mineral blush in Soft Mauve
Annabelle Haute gold bronzer to contour
Mac prep and prime finishing powder to set everything

Very scary close up on my eye :
Primer : TFSI
e/s : Rainforest(Annabelle) in the inner corner , Ultraviolet (Annabelle) all over the lid, tutu (Annabelle) to blend, the beauty marked dupe from WnW to give depth in the outer V (Lust palette)
liner : Feline khol liner from MAC
Brows : Root Beer e/s from a NYX trio
Mascara : Marcelle volume precision in black

This pic is truer to the colors : there is a hint of fuschia in the ultraviolet that is just gorgeous...

Lips : Heather from NYX mixed with Gosh Darling (134)
Neck : H&M new scarf....love, love, love....

Last one, just to tell you that this look was inspired by Laurenisokay on Youtube. It is quite far from what she did but she is cute and talented so I often take some of her color combos as a base for my own look !

Have a good day, lovelies !

a Brazilian EOTD and Silver JOTD

EOTD : I wanted something bright and summer-ish to help me bare the fact that I was working indoor all week end long while the sun is shining outside....So a little bit of a kiwi color on the lid (from a HIP duo : riotous) and in the crease : Nymphet e/s (Annabelle). Gosh e/l in Pretty Petrol.

JOTD : again , fabulous earrings from Ten Thousand Villages . I saw on their website that they have a store in MTL : yeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaa !

a strawberry milk, darling , please !

EOTD :
TFSI as a primer
NYX jumbo pencil in milk as a color base
a matte white from Annabelle (comparable to Gesso by MAC)
B-ray (Annabelle) from the middle of the lid till outer V
a Navy blue color (Annabelle) for the lower lash line, crease and outer V
Masacara : Ultimate lash (Marcelle) in Navy

FOTD :
for the lips : Strawberry milk (NYX) topped with Gosh darling (134)

This is gonna be the shorter post ever as I need to pick up my parents at the airport (Hourrah !). I could be a little bit MIA for 15 days coming as it's the only time this year that I will spend with them. I will enjoy every second with them so blogging me come at the end of my list of things to do for a while ;-)

Margharita lips, JOTD and sunset eyes !

I was inspired by the beautiful Dulce Candy on Youtube to do a sunset eye. A little less dramatic though : no false lashes and no black liner. It was still very glittery and metallic but it doesn't show properly in the pics. I tried to picture my face in the bright sunshine but I was making crazy faces so they are not really publishing-able .....HAHA

EOTD :
TFSI as a primer
NYX Jumbo pencil in Gold as a base color
Copper pigment from GOSH on the lid
Rust e/s from NYX in the crease
Helium from Annabelle as an highlight
a plum from the Faces cosmetics (number unknown) over the waterline and in the outer V to give some depth. A MUFE pencil in a plum color on the waterline...

Lips :
NYX mauve lipliner
NYX Margharita lipstick (from the tube it's scary orange but quite sheer on the lips so no clown effect...Oups, I hope not !)
NYX sheer gloss (orange too , no name found....)

JOTD :
earrings done by me ...An old necklace that I dismembered to do those Chinese little lanterns...Not really lanterns but I don't know why, it makes me think of those big red paper balloons that you can see in some Asiatic movies ???

I was asked by 2 blogger friends to do some TAGS : lovely violet and OMsNazO . Thanks lovelies, I'll be working on it ;-)))

Have a beautiful night full of shooting stars and crazy dreams

A weird combo and the proof nothing stays on my waterline...

The first picture is absolutely ugly but I wanted you to see the point ! Nothing stays on my $%?&/$" waterline...This is a GOSH pencil and the color is so gorgeous, I hate that I can't use it properly. I tried the MUFE ones: same result. The color migrates into the lashes so you have the splash of color but nothing left on the waterline ARGHHHHHHHHH. The only ones that stays put is :
- Feline Khol from MAC but it smudges like crazy
- Annabelle smoothliner but I just have the rich chocolate one....So I am stuck with 2 basic colors and a whole bunch of crazy beautiful colors that I can't use ! END OF RANT !

Eyes : This weird combo is not a favourite of mine : the colors clashes against each other in an unflattering way. I should have limited it to pink (Hepcat from MAC) and green (Greed from Annabelle). But I'll learn from my mistakes

Lips : I am getting used to GOSH darling as long as I mix it with other lipsticks. I even offered a new one to my friend Cassie (the generous one that gave me her earrings) as she said she never saw a color that flattering a day I was sporting it ! And I said in a previous post that it was an over-rated product (silly, silly me !)

Have a wonderful week ladies !

Caro - waiting for your advice on pencils that "tatoo" the waterline ;-) xxx

Rock star look/Raccoon (cute raccoon, of course)

So I guess I was in the mood of living a life of sex, drugs and rock n roll on Friday...Haha! So I tried this edgy, rocker chic look...At first, while blending the brown color all around my eye, I was thinking : Gosh, I am gonna end with a raccoon look...But finally I think it came out quite fine !

Eyes:
TFSI as a base
Foxy (Annabelle) as an all over the lid color
Feline Khol liner on water line and smudged as a not-so-clean line on the lid
Graffiti (Annabelle) to give some depth to the outer V
Helium (Annabelle) as an highlight color
Mascara : Revlon double twist (dying on me so sorry for the messy lashes!)

Skin :
Annabelle Skintrue Foundation in medium beige
Revlon bronzer in shade 2 to contour
NYX Angel blush

Lips :
GOSH darling lipstick
NYX mauve lipliner
Annabelle Gloss in breathless

Earrings : It's a Do it yourself !!!

Glasses : So what I am still a rock star, I've got my rock moves and I don't need YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU (PINK)

GIve away on MUA !

I was supposed to wait for 50 followers...But I can't resist ! I started this blog to practice my english, to have my own little secret garden (ME-Myself and I hahaha) and I am so happy I did...I met so many nice persons in the make up world, I am amazed ! So, as It's just a guilty pleasure for me, I wanted to give back a little love, so without further ado, to the gifts...I wanted to give it a personal kick, so here we go :

Mascara : Marcelle volume precision in Black. It's my HG mascara : it's dark, it doesn't clump, never flakes. It gives length and volume. I could talk about this single item for hours ....
Eye liner : Annabelle smudgeliner in black. I personally never use the smudging tip because I use a pencil brush to smooth my eyeliner but feel free to do otherwise. I have this liner in brown and I swear by it because even though it's easy to spread it and to smudge it , it doesn't go everywhere (Can you hear me feline Khol liner ????)
Palette : It's just Annabelle colors and the palette to fit them in. I chose a purple color : Purple Reine (Who doesn't like purple....silence following the question), whipped (you need an highlighter in your palette and this one looks like a vanilla Chantilly !), Graffity (my favorite black of all times, a black infused with little sparkles), B-Ray (a classic navy blue which pigmentation is unbeatable)
Pigments: I sampled my own collection (part of it). Vanilla pigment from MAC (description not really needed I guess), Myth from Annabelle (a complex taupe color infused with holographic shimmer, it's BEAUTY), Violet Vibe from Annabelle (again, who doesn't like purple ???), Greed from Annabelle (a bold matte green color), Copper from GOSH (like liquid metal on the lids) and Rosewood from GOSH (a stunning red with a pink hue in it, like a Cranberry !)

To enter this INTERNATIONAL contest, you must :
- be 18 or older
- be a follower
- leave a comment as original as ENTER ME but You can be more classic and just say how fantasmabulous I am ....
- do all of this before the 15th of may at 24h00 in Montreal.

No multiple entries for lobbying for my blog on Twitter , Facebook or your own blog, just do it if you feel like it...But your love for me needs to be pure HAHA...and frankly, I don't want to make it something complicated (lazy, lazy....)

Good luck my lovelies !

An Olive EOTD with sleek palette and a review

I love to play with my new toys !!! I just use the original in this look as I wanted to try the Olive color bottom line last color on the left. I will not link all the products I use because I prefer giving the 1st impressions I have on those palettes.

Cons :
it's not really a problem but the palettes are really tiny, I thought they looked bigger when I saw them on you tube.
Consistency of the e/s : they are on the chalky side ...I don't know if my eyelids are now highly sensitive but the texture of those e/s isn't very pleasant
Blending problem : probably because of the consistency, I find them harder to blend than some of my powder e/s that are more on the creamy side.
No highlight color : as those e/s are shimmery for the most part (even looking metallic for some !), I regret that there is no beige highlight in each palette. You have the black outer V color in each kit but no highlight...

Pros :
Palette look : very sturdy, doesn't look cheap. I think those palettes would resist a incredible travel in my (gigantic) bag without breaking.
Color pay off : I just tried 2 of my palettes : Storm and Original and the color pay off is absolutely amazing in both of them
range of colors : those palettes carry 12 colors and I love the mix they did, to offer such a wide range of hues to try
Staying power : I always use a primer to make my make up stick to my lids all day. But sometimes, even with my TFSI some colors fade away. I worked 9 hours yesterday, went back home and the make up was still flawless on my eyes. So staying power is gorgeous

Do I recommend them : absolutely ! Because, even though I don't feel those e/s to be comfy on my lids, they look gorgeous on my eyes. I know some girls who will understand the concept of stunning incredibly non comfy shoes....Do you wear them ? I do, even if I bleed my feet to death !!!! You get the idea...

SOTD, JOTD and failing !

So I decided I'd be creative today
SOTD : Shoe of the day
JOTD : Jewelry of the day

SOTD : Before having a slight little problem with make up addiction, I had a shoe-bag addiction...I have some attacks of shoe bulimia from time to time and it stroke this week end when I met those panther shoes...Hubby made a face when he met my new babies (the kind of horrified face your mummy made when you did a big fashion NO-NO when you were a teen...). But luckily, hubby is not my mom and I don't listen to anything negative he has to say about fashion (poor baby, he is just a man after all !). I wore those little marvels with large black pants, a big fluffy shirt and a tiny black leather coat .....Big glasses, yeah Rock n roll Baby !

JOTD : I "unplugged" the little charms from my bottle of Juicy couture perfume and put it at the end of a gold chain....Pretty, isn't it ?

FOTD : weird face of the day from your favorite blogger...The kind of face I do when I am disappointed with a new buy : GOSH darling lipstick...The FAMOUS 134...that is hyped all over the make up globe...and makes me look like a corpse...I need to do a post : DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE like the videos I like on Youtube!

Hope everything went well for you on this monday

Old look : minimalist eye !

SO this look is not new , I digged it from the archives. I haven't published this one before because it's a little bit boring. But, I must admit I am not fair to this look because it's so easy to do : it's the one I sport on my lazy days....

Now, to the products :

Painterly Paint Pot as a base
Champagne e/s (NYX) as a lid color. Fantastic discrete golden color !
Wedge (Mac) in the crease
Shroom (MAC) that I will stop using as I hit pan ...but YEAH I found a cheaper dupe : Helium from Annabelle cosmetics (new spring collection)
Eye liner : I dip an art craft pencil into Ardene liquid liner
on the lower water line : Jumbo eye pencil in Milk (NYX). I found this is a little harsh so since this look, I bought Gosh going bananas (more a flesh golden tone) and it's definitely more flattering !

The peeling of my eyelid is still in progress, bouhou I feel like a snake making a new skin

To club or not to club, that is the question ....

I purchased Club from MAC, about 1 year ago. I tried it about 2-3 times without success...It looked muddy and not very flattering. But taaaaaaaaaaaadaaaaaaaaaaa, yesterday I watched a PIXIWOO tutorial and Samantha mentionned that it (Club) was in her top 10 MAC colors....Gasp....I am an hysterical fan of the Pixiwoo sisters so Whatever they say is golden and I had to give a 2nd chance to my unloved Club. It seems that the secret is to use a black cream shadow underneath. So I let you judge, hit or miss ?

Eyes :
TFSI : primer
HIP cream liner in black from L'Oreal : color base only on lids
Club e/s from MAC : all over the lid and up the crease ...appears bright emerald over the black base and dark brown in the crease (no base color underneath). The beauty of duochrome, anyone ?
Shroom (MAC) as an highlight
Rich chocolate smoothliner from Annabelle on waterline and to tighlight

Brows :
Brow-zing in dark from Benefit

Face :
mix beetween Revlon Photoready in nude and Gosh extreme wear in golden : foundations
Revlon bronzer in shade 02 for contouring
Mineral maybelline blush in Original Rose
Vanilla pigment (MAC) as an highlight (upper cheeks, nose, cupid bow)

Lips :
L'Occitane wax for lips (shea butter) as base
Mauve lipliner from NYX all over the lips
Sally Hansen gloss : diamond lip treatment

Hope you like it ....

NEw hair cut and bright teal on the lids

a fresh cut was more than needed for my very long and very tired hair ...Sorry , no close up for the make up, the lighting was really crappish (washed out colors). I did a big NO-NO or fashion faux pas if you prefer, matching top and make up but liked it very much ;-)
What I used from what I can remember :
EYES : TFSI as a base, Gosh (love that dolphin) as cream color on the lids, a Teal color from the faces cosmetics, Twinks from MAC as a crease color, shroom from MAC as an highlight, a NYX matte beige color to blend Shroom and twinks, my beloved mascara : Marcelle volume precision.
BROWS : Benefit Browzing in dark
LIPS : a NYX round lipstick (not sure but probably PARIS, ...Paris Oh Paris, I miss you sometimes ;-). And a buxom lipgloss in Trixie (I am about to finish this one and I love it . Will rebuy for sure !!!
Skin : my own combination of Revlon colorstay and Gosh foundations , Revlon bronzer in shade 2, Vanilla pigment as an highlight and a Coastal scents blush in some sort of baby pink color (don't know the name : was a sample received with my 88 palette and I threw the little bag away...)

bitter green ....

This make up was done over a swollen eyelid , hence the wrinkles on the lid (no I am not in denial : I am not aging :-0)
It seems that my allergy to nailpolish has decided to strike again : bouhou ! How come something you put on your nails end up making you look like a frog (ultimately funny joke as I am a french girl ...)
So a NYX e/s from a NYX trio (I can't remember the name : I depotted it), humid from MAC as a crease color, shroom from MAC as an highlight, a random light brown color from NYX to blend....All of this on top of TFSI and GOSH waterproof e/s (love that moss)

Dark colors and nude lips

I am such a lazy blogger ... I've been taking pics lately but would not bother publishing them so you're gonna find some looks that I did last week...
This one , quite dark : TFSI as a base, Gosh wateproof e/s in Love that moss under humid from MAC. Crease color : my beloved twinks and a random beige color to blend with the highlight color : dazzelight from MAC
Skin : a mix of Revlon colorstay in beige sand and Gosh Extreme wear in golden, blush (a pink sample from Coastal scents), highlight on cheeks, nose, chin : Vanilla pigment from MAC.
Very forest-like-look !
